Intermediate Software Developer

We are seeking intermediate level software developers to join our network server infrastructure team. You will join a rapidly accelerating company with bright, hard-working individuals who are committed to delivering continued innovation to the energy utility marketplace through our TUNet smart grid communications solution.

TUNet coordinates and manages a distribution utility's data and control transactions via our real-time, two-way fixed wireless network that is used within the energy utility Smart Grid eco system. The Tantalus Network Server is at the heart of the TUNet network. The server supervises the integrity of the TUNet network, as well as the development of applications which provision distributed command and control capability throughout a distribution utility's service territory. The network server also provides comprehensive integration to our utility customer's large scale backend enterprise applications such as CIS, OMS and GIS systems. TUNet applications run on Linux servers, and incorporate Oracle database technology and Java/JSP web services.

You will be involved in the definition, design and development of our next generation server products. This includes web-based user interfaces, data architecture and communications infrastructure design.

Experience and Education/Professional Credentials Required:
1.
 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience Required
1.
 Two to five years experience in developing mission critical software.
2.
 A strong background in software application development within large complex system oriented solutions.
3.
 Extensive development experience in C/C++ using GNU tool-chain on Linux or UNIX-based products.
4.
 Experience interfacing C/Java client applications with Oracle database technology.
Experience Desired:
1.
 Experience developing large data management systems with intuitive user interfaces.
2.
 PL/SQL development.
3.
 Pro*C, ODBC or JDBC application development.
4.
 Web services, service-oriented architecture.
