QA Test Engineer - Endpoint Products

Tantalus seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to provide the expertise and guidance needed to ensure that our wireless communication products are of the highest possible quality. Your strengths in quality assurance and testing will serve a key role within our Product Development department. You bring excellent communication skills, plus experience with wireless technology and large, integrated communications networks. Most of all, you are detail-oriented pragmatist who has a history of establishing comprehensive, airtight unit and system testing procedures that span from the development stage to long after product deployment. You should have at least 3 years quality engineering experience with emphasis in process and product qualification, quality assurance, and new product development for wireless communication products.

Duties Include:
>
 Interface with Project Leads and Dept Leads within Product Development to enhance integrity and design assurance of Tantalus products.
>
 Facilitate development of comprehensive unit testing and system testing strategies and suites for Tantalus products.
>
 Work with other engineering team members to develop test suites (both unit based & system oriented) for testing Tantalus products.
>
 Utilize our corporate defect tracking system and work with engineering staff to reproduce and resolve issues. Provide regular reporting of current defect status for products.
>
 Facilitate the development and maintenance of Tantalus product test documentation (both unit and system).
Experience and Education/Professional Credentials Required:
1.
 3 - 5 years experience in testing software testing (near real time applications)
2.
 Experience in testing complex software applications in a UNIX (preferably Linux) environment
3.
 Experience in testing applications that utilize databases (MySQL or Oracle)
4.
 Experience developing test suites, test cases and test reports
5.
 Degree or diploma in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science from recognized university or technology institute
Experience Desired:
1.
 Experience with testing real time embedded devices
2.
 Experience creating test scripts utilizing one or more of the following: PERL, Python, UNIX Shell
3.
 Experience developing test suites, test cases and test reports
4.
 Understanding of test case automation methodology
5.
 Development experience within the realm of automation
