The Field Applications Engineer is an active member of the Field Operations team responsible for expert engineering and technical support to Tantalus’ customers. Your role will be to demonstrate and promote the use of Tantalus’s products and create new ways for utilities to augment their Smart Grid with Tantalus’s products. You will be a primary interface with our customers to solve their operational problems with the Tantalus Utility Network (TUNet®). You will work with internal departments such as Engineering and Product Marketing to solve particularly complex problems and to define new requirements for existing or new products. Your responsibilities will also include deploying TUNet, training customers, assisting sales presentations, contributing to product documentation, and maintaining a library of technical knowledge about the application of Tantalus’ products. You will be required to travel as much as one to three weeks per month on average. You may also be called upon to undertake duties outside those of your principle role as stated above.
