Tantalus Ramps Up for Expansion with Zucco Named Chief Marketing Officer

Vancouver, BC – March 10, 2010 – Tantalus announces that Tammy Zucco has joined the company as its Chief Marketing Officer. In this newly created position, Zucco will drive the development and execution of the company's marketing and product management activities, and work with the executive team to support Tantalus’ continued growth in the Smart Grid space.

Tantalus is a leading provider of Smart Grid communications technology. Accelerated deployment of Tantalus systems and expanding product and application portfolios led to the creation of this position. Zucco will focus on working with strategic business partners, delivering marketing programs, supporting market adoption of new products like Tantalus’ fiber based network solutions, and strengthening initiatives that drive ongoing sales growth.

Zucco, who has 18 years experience in marketing, strategy development and finance, comes to Tantalus from ABB where she was responsible for the North American strategic marketing activities of the Power Division. She played an integral role in developing and implementing the company’s North American Smart Grid business strategy and establishing key industry alliances. Her work involved planning and directing integrated marketing campaigns and leading company-wide initiatives responsible for Smart Grid market expansion. As an advisor and industry advocate, she represented ABB in many high-profile organizations including GridWise Alliance and the National Electrical Manufacturers’ Association’s Smart Grid Advisory Council, a group she helped create in 2008. Zucco also served as ABB’s liaison with the U.S. Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Zucco is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
